MSN Scholarships for Nursing Students

Continuing your nursing education is a long-term investment in your future.However, it can sometimes result in a short-term financial burden for you and your household.

MSN scholarships lessen the impact associated with college expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and supplies. There are a myriad of scholarships available to nursing students who want to earn a graduate degree affordably. Most can be applied to online MSN programs, including King University’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.

The AORN Foundation

The Association of periOperative Registered Nursing (AORN) Foundation awards scholarships to registered nurses pursuing advanced degrees with an interest in perioperative/surgical nursing. For more information visit here.

Emergency Nurses Association

To further advance the profession of emergency nursing, the ENA Foundation proudly offers educational scholarships annually. Academic scholarships are available for education ranging from associate to doctoral degrees. In 2017, ENA Foundation awarded more than $383,500 in scholarships. For more information visit here.

Nurses Educational Funds Scholarships

Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. awards scholarships for Masters’ and Doctoral degree study in nursing. Master’s degree applicants must have completed a baccalaureate in nursing (or equivalent), be enrolled either full or part-time in a professionally accredited nursing program, have completed at least 12 graded credits of the program at the time the application is submitted, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.6. Tylenol Future Care Scholars

Each year the makers of TYLENOL award annual scholarships to well deserving students pursuing careers in healthcare. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $10,000. For more information, visit here.

AfterCollege

The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking a baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree in nursing. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each quarter. For more information, visit here.

American Association of Colleges of Nursing

Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship

This scholarship program provides $5,000 in support to outstanding nursing students in baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs at AACN member institutions.

CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship

The CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership and mentoring and will award two $2,500 scholarships each semester to eligible GNSA members.

Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarship

AACN, with support from the Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing’s Future, offers scholarship funding to underrepresented minority (URM) nursing students who plan to work as nursing faculty after graduation. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a doctoral nursing program or a clinically-focused master’s degree program.

American Association of University Women Career Development Grants

Career Development Grants provide funding to women who hold a bachelor’s degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or reenter the workforce. Primary consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields.Grants provide support for course work beyond a bachelor’s degree, including a master’s degree, second bachelor’s degree, certification program, or specialized training in technical or professional fields.
